Acts 8:1 - by Darin Chin

DESIRING GOD: Reading Gods Word - Acts 8:1
On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.

After great growth/blessing, persecution/trial can come suddenly in life. It would not seem to make sense that scattering the new believers through persecution would be a good thing but it was God’s way of bringing the Good News to the rest of the world. Thus moving towards the ultimate fulfillment of his plan.

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
