DESIRING GOD: Reading Gods Word - Acts 25:19-20
19 Instead, they had some points of dispute with him about their own religion and about a dead man named Jesus who Paul claimed was alive. 20 I was at a loss how to investigate such matters; so I asked if he would be willing to go to Jerusalem and stand trial there on these charges.
In Acts 25 Paul continues being accused by the religious leaders at that time. Unable to do anything directly to Paul they appealed to the Romans for justice. When Paul responded to the religious leaders of the time and the worlds greatest power Rome it left them at a loss on how to respond to the Gospel. Nothing can compare to the wisdom and knowledge of the Gospel because it is not from this world. The wisdom of God is superior in every way to the worlds wisdom because God’s way is not the worlds way. If you want true wisdom for your life, seek the Lord and he will give you without hesitation, however once given we must believe and respond in faith accordingly!
1 Corinthians 1:25
25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
