Hello Sycomore!

I thank God for all of you.  And thank you for making Sunday special again for our community.  A special thanks to all of you who came early to set up and the worship team as well as those who serve in the children’s ministry and everyone who prep the food.  Your love and service are amazing.  I bless all of you with MORE OF JESUS!

Here are a few things coming up this week (and in the weeks to come):

1.  Our Name:  The Sycomore of the Christian and Missionary Alliance
Our Vision (where we want to go):  The discovery and pursuit of what matters most to God
Our Mission (how we’re getting there):  Restoration, Representation, Reproduction

We’ve made all of this as short as possible to it as easy as possible to remember… please do so!  Also, we welcome any questions you may have.
2.  We have scheduled July 18th as The Sycomore’s Blessing service.  We are inviting people from District Office and elsewhere to bless our merger and our church as well as our leadership.  Please mark that on your calendars.
3.  Engage group meeting in L.I. at 8 pm on Tuesday at Anna and Albert Tse’s home (their focus will Spiritual Formation):

4.  Engage group meeting in mid-town Manhattan Cathy Xu’s place at 7:00 pm on Tuesday.  Please get in touch with Albert Hong (hong.albert@gmail.com) to confirm and other details.

5.  The Queens Engage group will be meeting this Tuesday at 7:30 pm.  It will be held at Will and Veronica’s home.

6.  Intercessory prayer meeting at 7 pm on Friday at Michelle and Sam’s THIS WEEK:

7.  Please pray about volunteering this summer at Camp Commanche (Shandra Valez’ ministry) - August 1 - 8

8.  PLEASE FILL IN THE OPEN SLOTS FOR VOLUNTEERS!  May/June Volunteer List and July/August

I want to encourage all of you to review the list so that you are reminded of when you have volunteered.  If you are unable, it is your responsibility to find a replacement.  Also, if you have signed up, PLEASE BE ON TIME.  We desperately need volunteers for all sections.  Please sign up.

9.  I want to thank Amie Yee for volunteering to champion the Manna Team.  If you are interested in partnering with an amazing person, please get in touch with her.

10.  If you have prayer requests, please be sure forward that to me
11.  Please invite your friends who are looking for a church or are interested in discovering more about our faith to our Sunday Celebration.
